The Pipes still in store

In the 1990s members of the APOA visited the Willis works and examined the pipes of  the AP organ that were still in store after the completion of the Choir organ.  (Although the Choir organ was not to remain completed for very long.). It is interesting to note that the Cor Anglais and Contra Viola were not found at this time, perhaps because they were already installed in the Choir organ.

Pictures were taken of the pipe bins and a list was made of the pipes they contained. These can be seen on following pages.

The following table shows what was found in the pipe bins, the number of pipes present and those needing to be replaced. Typical record sheets can be seen at foot of page.

The following are typical examples of the record made at the time of the visit to the Willis Factory.  Copies of this list may be obtained from the webmasters.
